Question: Future-former Senator Gordon Smith is all over the map on issues. What is your favorite Smith flip-flop?:

Opposed drilling in ANWR in 2002, then supported drilling in 2005 & 2006.

Opposed Medicare drug price negotiation twice, then voted for it. (OK that's a good thing, but the vote failed to pass.)

Opposed increasing Minimum Wage SIX times before voting for it in 2007, with re-election time approaching.

Voted for invasion of Iraq and more than 20 times for war funding, even after denouncing the war in Dec 2006.

Opposed the Climate Security Act in 2003 & 2005, finally supporting it in 2008, an election year.

Consistent opposition to any universal health care plan, then supporting Sen Ron Wyden's plan. Is it an election year?

Presents himself as a moderate, but historically votes with Bush and the R party line over 90% of the time.

OK, he stuck to his guns supporting both bankruptcy bills, gay marriage ban, tax breaks for big oil, CAFTA, FISA, voter ID...
