This Wednesday, Aug. 27 the Washington County Democrats will hold a Convention Party at the Kingstad Center, 15450 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton.

Sen Joe Biden, Barack Obama's pick for vice president, is scheduled to make a speech that evening in Denver. Watch Sen Biden, Sen Obama and others speaking at the Convention as we unveil Big Screen Dem-O-Vision for the first time ever!

This event will precede a slightly abbreviated monthly meeting, which will be chaired by Treasurer Doug Plambeck. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting, which will include debate and a vote on supporting 3 ballot measures, will commence at 8:00 PM.
Additionally, many of your Washington County legislators and candidates will be present to meet with you to discuss issues. See you this Wednesday evening at the Kingstad!

A meeting of activists and friends every Wednesday night outside the Beaverton Library at SW 5th and Hall in Beaverton. Famously called the "Washco peace vigil" was started by a MoveOn event.

Friday, August 29, 2008 has been set aside for the Washington County Democrats to staff the Democratic Party of Oregon's booth at the Oregon State Fair in Salem.

There is one slot left on the evening shift (6:00 PM - 11:00 PM). You would be joining 4 other Washco Dems here to register voters and promote Democratic candidates.

Fall Adopted Road Cleanup
